RIBA North West
RIBA North West extends from south Cheshire to the Scottish borders, taking in Cumbria, Lancashire, Merseyside, Greater Manchester and Cheshire. RIBA North West represents nearly 2000 RIBA members in 550 practices in the region and works with six local branches in promoting the benefits of good architecture to as wide an audience as possible.
RIBA North West exists to advance architecture and promote excellence in the profession. This is done via Architruck, the peripatetic exhibition unit; milkandsugar in the centre of Liverpool, which includes gallery space and an RIBA Bookshop; delivery of professional education and by providing guidance on the selection and appointment of architects.

The Northwest Regional Development Agency
The Northwest Regional Development Agency (NWDA) leads the economic development and regeneration of England's Northwest. As a business-led organisation, the NWDA provides a crucial link between the needs of business and Government policies. As such, a major responsibility for the Agency is to help create an environment in which businesses in the region can flourish through offering business support, encouraging new start-ups, matching skills provision to employer needs and bringing business investment into the region.
