Charlotte was born in Chicago, receiving a BArch in Architecture in 1986 from the Illinois Institute of Technology.

Charlotte worked on the Centennial Ludwig Mies van der Rohe exhibition in 1986 at the Illinois Institute of Technology, followed by five years at Holabird and Root Architects, Engineers in Chicago. Charlotte gained a professional license in 1990, moving to the UK the following year.

In 2000 Charlotte was appointed Development Manager at the Bluecoat, Liverpool followed by promotion to Deputy Director in 2001. For the following six years Charlotte led on the £13m refurbishment and new build capital development of the Grade I listed building. In 2007 Charlotte joined Places Matter! as the Design Review Manager.

Charlotte is responsible for leading the Design Review process from commissioning to planning stage, working with a panel of 38 built environment professionals to offer high quality independent peer advice at the pre-application stage.

Daniel provides support to the Places Matter! Design Review Panel and delivery of the events programme to the Places Matter! team including maintenance of the website.
