The evening of 2nd December marked the culmination of the third and final Northwest Architecture for Everyone programme.

The following resources have been developed as part of the Places Matter! CPD 2010/11 programme. Each set of resources formed the content of a CPD session and includes a range of activities and information.

Sixteen students from across the Northwest attended a two-day Architecture workshop at LJMU's Art & Design Academy organised by Places Matter and the Aimhigher Team at LJMU.

The following is a guide only and indicates how the built environment can support various subjects across the KS 3 and 4 curriculum. It is in no way exhaustive and the built environment can be used in other subject areas.

During the academic year 2009/10 a number of CPD events were held for teachers from across the Northwest.

A core part of our activity was a programme of free CPD workshops for teachers and student teachers from across the Northwest.

Architecture for Everyone was a three year, nationwide campaign, founded on the belief that built environment professionals who reflect the diversity of the society they serve have a better chance of creating a built environment that meets the needs of society.

On Monday 22 March 2010 over 220 Year 10 pupils from across the region descended on BT Convention Centre, part of ACC Liverpool, to join leading architects, landscape architects, urban designers, planners and other professionals for a day of talks, hands-on activities and careers advice focussing on architecture and the built environment.
