PLACED - schools and young people

Share

PLACED is an organisation independent from Places Matter, delivering built environment education for young people across the Northwest.

PLACED delivers workshops that introduce students to architecture and the built environment – from the design of homes to iconic city centre buildings, public squares to parks. Creative, hands-on sessions delivered in schools support the teaching across the core curriculum whilst developing a wide range of skills including presentation techniques, team working and creative thinking. PLACED offers a wide choice of half and full day workshops covering themes from sustainability to interior design, tailor made sessions that meet the specific needs of an individual school and longer  programmes of workshops ranging from engaging your students in physical changes to their local built environment to support from professionals on the delivery of a term-long project.

Our workshops are delivered by PLACED Ambassadors including architects, planners and urban designers and are supported by university students, giving your pupils an opportunity to work with experts in the field and gain a genuine insight into study and careers in the sector.
