Small Scale Green Roofs Workshop
Date: 5 September 2010, 10am - 5pm
Location: The Wolseley Centre, Staffordshire
A one-day practical workshop aimed at DIY enthusiasts, community organisations and small scale builders.
This CPD event will provide the opportunitiy to work with experts Dusty Gedge and John Little, who will lead smallscale DIY and professional courses.
Dusty Gedge is responsible for establishing livingroofs.org, the first non-profit organisation to provide independent advice on green roofs in the UK. He has design a number of green roofs including Laban Dance Centre, Barclays Tower, Canary Wharf and the Komodo Dragon House at London Zoo.
John Litte, the founder of The Grassroof Company, has design and built over 20 green roofs in Essex alone.
Programme:
- Learn about green roofs and their benefits
- Build a section of green roof
- Acquire the practical skills to turn your shed or garage into a wildlife haven!
Fee:
£85 per person
